Community Tennis Program
has been developed between Central Region Assembly & Tennis Queensland with
Community Tennis Officer Ken Hick overseeing the program. Ken is based in
Gladstone. The areas Ken will be covering are as follows:-

on MLC Hotshots, My Tennis, Find a Court Find a Partner, Active After School
Care Program , Business Plans, Child Protection Plans, Risk Management
Other
duties include increasing participation in the region through school programs
and working with unaffiliated clubs to become part of the Tennis Queensland
Family.

Region Junior Development Squads
“Central
Region Elite Teams"
2011 Format
The
2011 squad will be made up of 8 Hotshots and 8 Young Guns. The squads will be
named in February, 2011.
All players selected in the Central Region
"Hotshots" Squad will receive $400 on completion to the program. The
Central "Young Guns" Squad will receive $300 on completion of their program.
The "Hotshots" Squad members to meet their
commitments need to participate in 4 Australian Ranking Points tournaments in
2011 as well as 4 Central Qld Junior Masters Circuit Tournaments. They will also
be required to attend both training camps
The "Young Guns" Squad members to meet their
commitments need to participate in 3 Australian Ranking Points tournaments in
2011 as well as 5 Central Qld Junior Masters Circuit Tournaments. They will also
be required to attend both training camps
National Grass/Claycourt Events
Any
Central Hotshots or Young Guns player who qualifies to contest the National Grasscourt or the National Claycourt Championship will
be considered to receive some travel assistance.
