10/u Age
Group
The 10/u Age Group in 2011 will be a participation event only but small trophies
will be presented to the winners. Each participant will receive a small prize as well as a certificate
which will include their singles and doubles rankings.
The new
Tennis Australia Green Ball will be used in these events. This ball will help
develop more skills including tactics, concentration & technical.
The CQ Junior Masters
Committee have decided on this action as too much pressure is being placed on
these young players who should be learning to play the sport, including umpiring
for themselves in a fair and sporting manner. To help with these juniors the
Committee has decided to appoint umpires for all 10/u matches in 2011 to assist
these young players to learn to develop good playing and umpiring skills.
11/u & 13/u Age Groups
The winners and Runners-up of the Singles and Doubles will receive trophies at
each tournament to the value of $20 for singles winners, $12 for Singles
Runners-up, $12 for Doubles Winners and $8 for Doubles Runners-ups.
15/u & 17/u Age Groups
Vouchers
Every Player that wins or comes runner-up in their age group they receive a
voucher which they can use it at the end of the year to put towards some tennis
coaching or tennis equipment. Singles winners receive $20 Voucher, Singles Runner-up $12, Doubles winners $12 each and doubles runners-up $8 each.
These Vouchers can be claimed from your coach or Association after the
completion of the current circuit. If you are unsure where to collect the

B Category ITN Circuit Events
Due to small entries these events
have been changed to help attract more players to these tournaments. The B
Category ITN events will be conducted is pools of 6, 8 or 10 players and will be
singles and doubles pools. Each event will have singles and doubles trophies
with the value being $15 Singles winner $10 Singles runner-up $10 each Doubles
winners & $8each doubles runner-up. These events will be trialled in 2010
and reviewed at season end. The idea is to give all players good matches against
similar strength players. Players will only enter the tournament and this will
automatically put players in both singles and doubles events. The entry fee is
$35 dollars. Players will be allocated doubles partners from the same section.
These events are unisex and boys and girls will be competing against each other.
No points will be awarded but the results from these events will be used for
seeding purposes for other events. Players must play at least one of these B
Category (ITN) events to qualify for any circuit prizes.
Circuit Prizes The winner of the circuit in age groups 11/u, 13/u, 15/u, 17/u win a
place in the CQ Junior Masters Team at the Queensland Junior Masters finals to be played in Rockhampton
October 22/23 2011. (Qualifying best results in 2 x A+, 1 x A, 1 x C, 1 x B Category Tournaments).
The winners of the finals in age groups 11/u, 13/u, 15/u, 17/u also win a place
in the CQ Junior Masters Team at the Queensland Junior Masters Finals in Rockhampton in
2011. If the winner of the final is the same person as the winner of the circuit
the other player to represent the region will be the player who is second on
points from the circuit provided they have meet the qualifying requirements.
Major Circuit Prizes
•All
Winners of Finals & Circuit 11/u – 13/u – 15/u – 17/u receive voucher to
value of $200.00 only one prize per player. Bonus of $100 if players
wins both. If same winner the 2nd on
circuit receive $100.00 Voucher.
Player of the Year/Month
A player of the year & 6 players of the month are selected from players
nominated by the coaches and parents at the circuit finals. These
nominations can only come from players who have competed in at least five
circuit points events during the 2010 CQ Junior Masters circuit. The player of the year is voted on by delegates from each participating tournament
venues. The player of the year receives the Gareth Wroe Memorial Trophy and $500.00 voucher towards tennis related activities. The six player of the month winners receive $100.00 towards tennis related activities e.g. coaching, travel or equipment purchases.
Lucky Player Prizes
Lucky player prizes are presented at the conclusion of every CQ Junior
Masters Circuit event. Prizes such as Head Water
bottles, Grips & hats etc. are given to players selected from a random draw.
Coaching Camps
