10/u Age Group         The 10/u Age Group in 2010 will be a participation event only but small  trophies will be presented to the winners. Each participant will receive a small prize as well as a certificate which will include their singles and doubles rankings.

The new Tennis Australia Green Ball will be used in these events. This ball will help develop more skills including tactics, concentration & technical.

The CQ Junior Masters Committee have decided on this action as too much pressure is being placed on these young players who should be learning to play the sport, including umpiring for themselves in a fair and sporting manner. The committee will appoint adjudication umpires where ever possible.

B Category ITN Circuit Events

Due to small entries these events have been changed to help attract more players to these tournaments. The B Category ITN events will be conducted is pools of 6, 8 or 10 players and will be singles and doubles pools. Each event will have singles and doubles trophies with the value being $15 Singles winner $10 Singles runner-up $10 each Doubles winners & $8each doubles runner-up. These events will be trialled in 2010 and reviewed at season end. The idea is to give all players good matches against similar strength players. Players will only enter the tournament and this will automatically put players in both singles and doubles events. The entry fee is $30 dollars. Players will be allocated doubles partners from the same section. These events are unisex and boys and girls will be competing against each other. No points will be awarded but the results from these events will be used for seeding purposes for other events.
